Benedict J. Maliakkal, MD Gastroenterology & Hepatology

Dr. Maliakkal is a board-certified Gastroenterologist with a subspecialty of Transplant Hepatology. He is a graduate of St. John’s Medical College in India and completed his residency at Coney Island Hospital in New York and a fellowship in Gastroenterology at Wayne State University in Michigan. With almost 40 years of experience in hepatology, Dr. Maliakkal specializes in total wellbeing for patients with chronic liver disease and other liver disorders. Dr. Maliakkal’s mission is to find the root cause of his patient’s liver conditions to not only treat, but also prevent hepatologic complications
